Special TET Notification  October 2026 |TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR INSERVICE TEACHERS - 2026 -NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET),  Paper - I and Paper - II only from the eligible working Teachers who are  appointed on or before 01.09.2025 as Secondary Grade Teachers(SGT),  Graduate Teachers (BT Assistants) and other Equivalent cadre Teachers on  Time Scale/Consolidated/Part-time pay under the Directorate of School  Education / Directorate of Elementary Education / Most Backward Class  Department / Adi-Dravida Welfare Department / Tribal Welfare Department /Chennai Corporation / Coimbatore Corporation / Madurai Corporation / Forest Department / Differently Abled Department / Other Departments, Government, Government Aided and Unaided Recognized Private Schools of State Board and Other Boards etc., in Tamil Nadu for the year 2026 through  online mode only till 19.11.2026.

Teachers Recruitment Board has been permitted to notify and conduct  Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test for currently working Teachers vide  G.O.(Ms).No.231, School Education (TRB) Department, dated:13.10.2025.


Important Dates - Special TET for Inservice Teachers:

  • Date of Notification : 26-10-2026
  • Commencement of submission of online Application : 27-10-2026
  • Last date for submission of online Application : 19-11-2026
  • Edit Option : 20-11-2026 to 22-11-2026
  • Date of Examination – Paper I : 20-12-2026 Afternoon(Tentative)
  • Date of Examination – Paper II : 20-12-2026 Forenoon(Tentative)
